Gymkhana
The Trinity County Horse and Long Ears Club hosts a series of six gymkhanas from May to October. Gymkhana is an equestrian event consisting of speed pattern racing and timed games for riders on equines.
The competition is held in the arena at the Trinity County Fairground in Hayfork. Sign up at 9 am, starts at 10. Five different patterns will be run throughout the morning. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the series to competitors who have ridden in at least three events. Special awards at each months games. Bring out your equines or just come to cheer on the riders and enjoy some snacks at the concession stand. All ages and skill levels (including lead line) welcome!
TH&LE Member Price- $5/event, $10/all events
General Public- $6/event, $15/all events
Trail Rides
Group members meet the second Sunday of the month to explore the beauty of Trinity County on horseback. The location varies and will be discussed at the meetings. Riders are encouraged to car pool to trail head and bring a lunch.
Play Day
Get together in the arena at the TC Fairgrounds every Wednesday night at 5:30 to play with your equines in a safe learning environment. Great time to work on skills for any discipline you may be pursuing.
